Matthew 9:16-17
16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. 17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Mark 2:21-22
21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse. 22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

Luke 5:36-39
36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. 37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. 39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
NEW CLOTH
In scripture cloth and garment represent doctrine. Revelation Doctrine of the Word (Cloth) given to restore by God’s Spirit (Wine) preserved in Spirit-filled Believers (Bottles Ps. 119:83)!

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Leviticus 16:4
He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.

As children we grew out of our clothes as we matured, and we had to get a new garment to cloth our larger body. We could not just keep patching our old garment, it no longer was sufficient to cover us. By salvation through Jesus Christ, we become new and his Anointed Word covers us. As we mature in God's word, we must continue to receive and put on more understanding to stay clothed in His Anointing. If we reject the wisdom and understanding of God's Word, we stop growing and may actually backslide and lose our salvation. If we say, "I don't need to understand the deeper revelations of God's Word", then we limit our own growth in God. We must hold on to the revelation understanding given us and not let go. The body of Christ must preserve God's authorized word and the revelation of God's word for the next generation or else society will slide further into sinful ways and judgement will be required.

Revelation 3:4-5
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Since the beginning (John 1:1) God's word has been true. Man throughout time has patched God's word with false doctrine and dogmas (philosophies) beguiling the body of believers until they are so weak in the true knowledge of God's Word that they no longer desire it.
2 Corinthians 11:3
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

THE PATCHED GARMENT PARABLE — “Revealing the past, present, and future! — It depicts the resistance of the traditional ritualist in accepting new spiritual truths.” (Luke 5:36) “Jesus said, No man putteth a piece of new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old! — Therefore we see two results occur, both the new garment and the old one are ruined! — The new because the piece has been taken from it, and the old because it is disfigured by the new cloth! — Also the new would be stronger and the old would tear away from it!” — “In Jesus' day, Judaism was the old religion that was decaying and passing away. — to mix His new powerful Word and gospel would only spoil both! — Jesus was revealing that He would not have parts of His teachings sewed or pinned on other religious systems! — He did not come to patch up the old, but to bring salvation, faith, miracles, and power through His name, the Lord Jesus Christ!” — "Our faith must not be patchwork, but ever new in revival of our soul! — The new outpouring today will not mix with the old institutional religions; they must come out into His body. And what is left outside of this system will receive the former rain (those that did not organize) and blend with the latter rain — into great restoration revival! — Jesus said, neither can a man put new wine (revelation power) into old bottles (organization system) else it will burst the old system-wide open and both will become lukewarm and spued out! ’ ’ (Matt. 9:17) “In other words, you cannot put this new last day move into the old system; but many will come out of darkness into the new~ revival that is appearing! Neither will this new garment (mantle) mix with the mark of the beast, for the Bride is taken away in translation!
— The Bride has a miracuIous covering (armour).

NEW WINE
New bottles (believers) must be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to receive & understand revelation knowledge of God's Word (new wine). The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the stimulation necessary to wake up the sleeping church!

Psalm 119:81-83
My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me? For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
John 2:10
And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

Exalting Jesus | Neal Frisby’s Sermon | CD #1163 | 06/24/1987 PM
Exalting Jesus: You listen real close. You will get something in the audience. Oh, how wonderful! His name shall be called Wonderful. Did you know that Jesus never grows old? Never, ever will. He is always new. Everything that they say is new in this world; it won’t be after a while. Anything that is made out of material things is going to fade. Sometimes, it may take 6,000 years for it to completely fade, but it is going to fade. Jesus doesn’t rust at all. He is always new and always will be new because it is a spiritual substance. Amen? Now, if Jesus is getting old to you, that is not true; He doesn’t get old. Maybe, you are getting old. Maybe, you have forgotten about the Lord Jesus. Every day, I wake up; He is just as new as the day before. He is always the same and if you keep that in your heart, He is just like somebody new all the time. He cannot get old. Keep that in your heart with faith. He may have grown old to the organizations. Some of them are tired of waiting for Him to come or to do something. He may have grown old to the lukewarm Christians. He’ll grow old to those that are not looking for His coming. He will grow old to those that are not seeking Him, not praising Him, not witnessing, not testifying and so forth. He’ll grow old to them. But to those that are looking for Him and those that give their hearts in faith and prayer to believe and love Him, He never grows old. We’ve got a partner there; we’ve got a Master there that will never fade, and that is thus saith the Lord.

Creeping Sleep | Neal Frisby’s Sermon CD #1190 | 12/3019/1987 PM
Then there is the other kind of sleep. It is the people sitting in the audience, saith the Lord. They have heard this so often, saith the Lord, that I am coming. They have heard the scriptures so often about the power of the Lord and all the miracles that He performed that they are just letting it flow over their heads. The audiences have heard the sermons and the messages of God so often, they go to sleep themselves. The audience is not listening to the preaching that is going on saith the Lord. They don’t have a spiritual ear to hear what the Spirit has to say to the churches. So, all over the earth and everywhere tonight, God is talking. They have heard about the coming of the Lord so often that they just go to church as a tradition—back and forth in the Pentecostal and deliverance ministries. There is no great urgency and no stimulation power. They need revelation, saith the Lord. It is the Lord that stimulates the soul to stay awake. He said you can’t put this new wine in old bottles; it will burst them up. Wine in the bible is only a stimulation—symbolic—you don’t drink wine with alcohol in it. It is symbolic of revelation. When God gives a revelation, a stimulation breaks forth out of there, and it is the stimulation that wakes them out of sleep. The church needs the power of revelation that is in the Book of Revelation. It will blow up the old bottles. The new bottles will be controlled by it. Without the revelation, there is no stimulation,
